Waiting times for Redcliffe Hospital services are starting to blow out under the LNP, according to an analysis of publicly available data by the office of Chris Whiting MP.
Moreton Bay residents are waiting longer in an ambulance to get into Redcliffe Hospital, waiting longer to see a specialist at Redcliffe Hospital, and waiting longer for their planned surgeries at Redcliffe Hospital, said Chris Whiting MP.
“What we found is that 90% of patients are now waiting 250 to 350 days to receive planned surgeries, compared to around 150 days a year earlier.
“The median wait time for planned surgeries has gone up to 285 days from 145 days, when you compare October 2023 to June 2024, and October 2024 to June 2025.
“And we know that ambulance ramping at Redcliffe Hospital is now 46%.
“This is a real drop in performance under the LNP. This is how the LNP manages our local hospital,” said Chris Whiting MP.
The office of Chris Whiting sourced this data from Queensland Health’s own public performance page: https://www.performance.health.qld.gov.au/view-performance-by-facility/hospitals/redcliffe/planned-surgery
Analysis also discovered that at the Redcliffe Hospital, the median waiting times to see a specialist went from an average of 2,742 days to 2,948 days, an increase of 206 days of waiting time.
The data on the waiting times to see a specialist can be found on the performance page here: https://www.performance.health.qld.gov.au/view-performance-by-facility/hospitals/redcliffe/specialist-appointments
